PRIDE & GUILT
When someone makes us feel proud or puts us down by making us feel guilty, they are interfering with the flow of our energy system which runs under certain assumptions and knowledge.
For any action or movement, the required energy has to flow. How much energy is needed is an approximate and automatic process. There is an estimation process involved based on the precedence and there has to be a correction process involved based on the actual event.
When we climb a staircase and encounter one of the steps that are shorter in height, we can sense the error and feel bad for overstepping. Guilt feeling is of that nature. Guilt feeling is a bad feeling that we know that we have done something wrong. It is feedback for the energy estimation process. Guilt is the case of excess energy that has flown. It is easy to deduce that guilt feeling arises as a reminder for such future scenarios.
Assumptions and Knowledge
Pride and Guilt complement each other in regulating the energy flow estimation process. Key to the estimation is the repository of right-wrongs and to-do & not-to-do preconditions that we had accumulated over the years. Knowledge of this helps us to override the existing estimation and override the guilt.
