How To Manage Fools?
Our brain's biggest task is to manage us. The brain does the management job through the central nervous system. More importantly, through the somatic nervous system, the brain gives us the impression and narrative of liberty to voluntarily choose and decide certain tasks. This ability to choose, makes us feel special, unique, and master of our own self. Many of us either believe that we control the brain or that God controls the brain. We never want to admit that we are at the mercy of the brain. The ability to choose is taken back from us when we go through intense pain, madness, or coma. The sense of self, a narrative set by the brain is so intense that we feel proud about ourselves in controlling ourselves.
The brian tells us: “I cannot live without you, darling!!”
The same technique is quite well employed by parents to manage their kids, CEOs of organizations to manage their workers, and the federal government to manage the states. In short, it is about empowering powerless people to feel that they are all-powerful.
